One of the smallest forms of consumers film still available is the 110 film format that originated in 1972 by Kodak. It has recently made a comeback thanks to Lomography and you may even have some 110 film laying around or have bought some and used it. The next step is finding a place to get the film developed. There are many places that still develop 110 film through the mail or in store and costs between $9.96 – $28 depending on the type of film and if you want scans or prints. Many of these places will also return your negatives. Keep reading for how much it costs, how to send your film safely through the mail and the cost for shipping, and other things to consider when getting your 110 film developed. Update for 2022: Since 2021 I have found that because of the pandemic drug stores like Walgreens, Walmart, and CVS have a much longer turnaround time then previously reported. For example, I am still waiting for some color 35mm film to be developed from my local CVS for 4 months when it should have been only 2 – 3 weeks. For this reason I highly suggest that you don’t use a local drugstore and use an online film development lab to develop film with a shorter turnaround time instead. 1. To order your film to be developed you first have to go to the location you want to use, fill out the order form / envelope, place your film inside the order form and seal it, and then drop your film in the collection box. Note that only one 110 film canister should be put into the order envelop at once so if you are developing multiple rolls you will need multiple envelopes.
